BY THE COUNCIL CLEGG, LUDWIG, MCLEAN, SANCHEZ, THOMSON AND WOODINGS
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 7A, SECTION 6, (ALCOHOL; PUBLIC PARKS) BOISE CITY CODE TO CREATE AN EXCEPTION ALLOWING ALCOHOL SALES, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION WIITHIN THE EIGHTH STREET CORRIDOR WHEN AUTHORIZED BY A VALID SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOISE CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title 7, Chapter 7A, Section 6, Boise City Code (“Alcohol; Public Parks”), be, and the same are amended as follows.
A. Alcohol Generally: Alcoholic beverages other than beer and wine are prohibited in all Boise City parks and facilities unless the location is a licensed premises or alcoholic beverages other than beer or wine are specifically allowed by this Code. The possession of more than seven and one-half (7.5) gallons of beer and/or wine per person, group, or event shall require a permit from the department.
1. Exception: Alcoholic beverages are not prohibited within the Eighth Street corridor when the possession, sale, or consumption of alcoholic beverages occurs in conjunction with a validly licensed special event.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication.
